A Lenten Prayer of Invitation
Come
Work your hands in the clay of your heart.
Shape of this pause a bowl,
for Love
resonant
a bell chamber
whose peal is silence
a great sunlit emptiness
in which questions shimmer, sufficient
and the breath of the Holy
pours through the room of the moment
deep chorded courage
to stay awake
for this music.
Lent lends itself to the practice of staying with questions. You may want to read more at https://www.brainpickings.org/2012/06/01/rilke-on-questions/
