Benediction on Christmas Eve

May the wonder of this night hold a space in you each night
and every day may you know your body blessed by the birth of God within it.

May this wonder and this blessing rest in you so that you may be for others, blessing.

May you know the love of God, who comes close to you,
the grace of Jesus Christ, this night’s wordless child
and the wild, tender presence of the Holy Spirit.

This night,
and every night,
may you know it well.

Join me on the journey. Rest, Reflect, Replenish

    Hello Catherine,
This is the first time I have seen your work… this benediction is beautiful and speaks to the Love so needed by so many in our world.
I am putting together a service at our church for Christmas Eve (we are presently between ministers). I am a firm believer that we are led to that which we need to hear or share, and so after being led by the Spirit to this page, I ask your permission to use this benediction at our Christmas Eve evening service. You, of course, will be credited (verbally and on our PPT acknowledgments) if permission is granted.
Continued Blessings and Peace to you and yours…

      Hello Daria,
I’m so glad the benediction found you. Yes, please share it in your Christmas Eve worship, with attribution. You might also want to sign up for this website which will ensure you receive notice of seasonal resources either new or archived. Blessings, as you prepare for and receive the wonder of Christmas.
