Epiphany Hymn

by Catherine Smith | Jan 2, 2020

A person holds a glass jar with sparklers burning inside, creating bright, sparkling light against a dark background—evoking the warmth and wonder of an Epiphany hymn amid the surrounding darkness.

Light and the dark
dancing with one another

(to the tune of Let There Be Light)

Hallow the Light
Light of a star to guide us
Light of a candle burning
Light on a loved one’s face

Here in our midst
Candle flames shine so gently
Peace for a people gathered
Hope for a people graced

Light and the dark
Dancing with one another
Shaping a faith-filled story
Holding each holy life

Sacred and small
Bearing our lives like torches
Led by compassion’s calling
We will go out in praise
