Return: A Kind of Blessing

For you
turned again to what feels regular,
routine
or even pressed,

See,
just here –
droplets of the moments
when your heart took on
the rhythm of the tides
or trailed through long, hot grasses
with cicadas’ sounds
or felt the city sun,
or sand

For you
whose eyes were pricked with gratitude
when touseled children slept, close at hand,
and evening cooled
and you went lightly.

For you who are returning
see,
just here,
the droplets of those moments
soft and strong and simple

Pick it up, this beaded sprig
and feel the moments cool and full again

against your skin
and in your heart,
returned.

Join me on the journey. Rest, Reflect, Replenish
